The Washoe County Board of Commissioners is seeking volunteers from the community to serve on the Washoe County Audit Committee.

The Board of Equalization may determine the valuation of any property assessed by the County Assessor, and may change and correct any valuation found to be incorrect whether by add thereto or by deducting therefrom such sum as is necessary to make it conform to the taxable value of the property assessed, whether that valuation was fixed by the owner or the County Assessor.

Membership

The board is comprised of five members appointed by the County Commission. Members are appointed to a four-year term and may serve two consecutive terms.

Time Commitment

Meets annually starting in January. The Board must conclude business by the last day of February by statute.
