Reno, Nevada. November 6, 2012. Washoe County Senior Deputy Registrar Luanne Cutler reports almost 19,000 Washoe County registered voters have already voted this morning in the General Election. That brings the total to over 62 percent who have voted in Washoe County, which includes early voters and absentee ballots.

All qualified voters who wish to cast a ballot for the November 6 General Election must do so before 7:00 p.m. PST this evening at their assigned polling place.

“The majority of our 90 polling locations throughout the County are reporting steady turn-outs this morning,” said Cutler. “We want to encourage everyone to vote, and to please make sure you know your exact polling location, either through our website or by checking your sample ballot.”

Any voter who is unsure where they are assigned to vote can visit www.washoecounty.us/voters and on the appropriate lines, enter their last name and date-of-birth to confirm their voting eligibility, get their precinct number and assigned Election Day polling place information, and see a map showing where their polling place is located*.

To expedite the voting process today, voters are encouraged to fill out their sample ballot ahead of time and check for their precinct on the back of the ballot. Cutler also encouraged all voters to bring their sample ballot to their polling location and to vote as early as possible prior to the 7:00 p.m. deadline tonight to avoid waiting in line.
