Reno, Nevada. Jan. 31, 2013. Gardening in Nevada: The Bartley Ranch Series presents eight free classes co-sponsored by Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space and the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension (UNCE).
These classes are held annually at no charge in February and March at Bartley Ranch in Reno and are taught by Certified Master Gardener volunteers and UNCE horticulture experts. Classes include:

He will also cover climate and soil effects, pest and disease management and yearly maintenance requirements for newly planted trees.
- March 12: Aquaponics
Heidi Kratsch, UNCE horticulture specialist, will discuss the benefits of aquaponics, which is the combination of aquaculture and hydroponics, and how to create a home system.
