Reno, Nevada. Feb. 19, 2013. Citizens interested in what the Incline Village and Crystal Bay area will look like in five years have the opportunity to voice their opinions at a community meeting. Participating in an update of an area plan is a unique opportunity to help define how communities look, feel, grow and develop. The Washoe County Community Services Department (CSD) and engaged citizens from the recent 2020 visioning effort invite Tahoe area residents to participate in a community meeting the evening of Feb. 21, 2013. Learn how the new Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Region Plan will shape the creation and implementation of an updated Tahoe Area Plan.

Another opportunity to share opinions is an informal, face-to-face meeting with elected representatives. Washoe County Commissioner Marsha Berkbigler will host two Commissioner Conversations events the evenings of Feb. 28 and Mar. 3. At Commissioner Conversations residents have an opportunity to speak directly with elected officials in an informal, friendly setting. The topic for this meeting series is “Strengthening Citizen Involvement.”
