Reno, Nevada. Sept. 11, 2013.  Washoe County’s Lazy 5 Regional Park in Spanish Springs hosts the eighth annual Bark at the Water Park event this Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

WHO: Dogs and their owners are invited to enjoy the Gaspari Water Play Park Sunday before it closes for the season. Dogs are normally not permitted in the water park with the exception of Bark at the Water Park.

WHAT: Dog contests include Best Swimwear, Coolest Dog and Best Smile.

WHERE: Melio Gaspari Water Play Park at Washoe County’s Lazy 5 Regional Park, 7100 Pyramid Way.

WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

COST: Admission is $3 per person and dogs are free. All dogs must be leashed and current on all vaccinations including rabies. Friendly dogs only please, and limit two dogs per person.


Lazy 5 Regional Park is 85 acres and includes a 5,000 square foot community center with an outdoor patio and barbeque area, a children's playground, group and individual picnic areas, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and a multi-purpose field. The community center is available for business and social rentals. The park is open seven days a week.
