Reno, Nevada. Aug. 25, 2014. Washoe County Regional Animal Services is beginning a series of public workshops tonight in an effort to receive input from the community about proposed changes to the animal control ordinance, Washoe County Code (WCC) Chapter 55.
The first public workshop will be held tonight at Wilbur D. May Center at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The workshop will cover dangerous dogs and exotic animals.
What: Workshop about proposed animal ordinance changes regarding dangerous dogs and exotic animals.
When: Monday, Aug. 25, at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Wilbur D. May Center, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park (1595 N. Sierra Street, Reno)
Another workshop will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the retail sales and breeding of animals.
Note: Assistant County Manager and Interim Director of Washoe County Regional Animal Services Kevin Schiller will be available for media interviews at 5 p.m.
Additional workshops discussing nuisance and other topic areas will be held early this fall.
